Winter

La Plagne Montalbert

Plagne Montalbert is located in Savoie in France and is one of the villages of the "La Plagne" ski resort. A snow-assured area of which 70% is above 2000 metres and thanks to the Vanoise Express, which connects this ski area with the ski area of Peisey-Vallandry and Les Arcs, also part of Paradiski. This super area with a whopping 425 kilometres of ski runs offers pleasure for everyone.

Plagne Montalbert is located at 1350 metres and is easily accessible in both summer and winter. An authentic, family-run village with no high-rise buildings and a car-free centre. There are practice lifts for beginners and a gondola that takes you straight to the heart of the skiing paradise, the ideal base for every skier... The highest point you can reach by ski is the "Bellecôte" glacier at just under 3,400 metres and it ensures snow all winter. The ski season therefore runs from mid-December to early April. For après ski, you can visit the cosy restaurants, including one with a Michelin star, and bars with sunny terraces.

For non-skiers, there are various possibilities such as hang-gliding, wellness and beauty/sauna, bobsleighing, husky sledding, cross-country skiing, snow walks ...

Christmas in Montalbert : In Montalbert, Father Christmas in his sleigh is welcomed into the village by all ski instructors on Christmas Eve at 6pm. The Montalbert ski instructors accompany Santa with their burning torches to the chapel where he greets all the children. There is Gluhwein and hot chocolate for everyone. For the children, Santa has little surprises. A special family and fun event. An atmospheric start to Christmas Eve to then all go home to celebrate Christmas.

Summer

Montalbert and surroundings in summer

There is also a lot to do in Montalbert and its surroundings during the summer months. The climate is pleasant and there are many sporting activities including beautiful hiking and cycling tours. In the village there is the possibility of renting (electric) mountain bikes, crossbow shooting, pony riding.... Le Forperet's petting zoo with animals such as calves, pigs, goats, donkeys, chickens...is a popular outing for young and old. Older children take a 125-metre slide on the Montal'Splash, a trip on a Mountain Kart, rafting on the Isère from Aime or Bourg St. Maurice or rock climbing at Notre dame du Pré. Swimming in turn can be done in natural waters nearby or at the attraction WAM Park Albertville.

Various activities are organised daily in the village including the famous "Zen" week at the end of June as well as evenings with music.

Something for everyone... fun guaranteed!

Neighbourhood

The flat is located in the centre of La Plagna Montalbert just a few steps from the shops, restaurants, ski lifts and ski slopes. No high-rise buildings but a car-free shopping street that provides an authentic winter atmosphere.

Located at an altitude of 1350 metres, the village is in the "Paradiski" area.

Paradiski is one of the largest ski areas in the world and has two top destinations with La Plagne and Les Arcs. La Plagne consists of 11 villages that are interconnected and of which Montalbert, is part. The slopes are of different levels so both beginners and very experienced winter sports enthusiasts can enjoy themselves here. There is even a 7 kilometres run ; you start at an altitude of 3226 metres and can descend as far as Villaroger (1100 metres). With a slope offer of which 70 % is above 2000 metres, Paradiski is one of the snowiest areas. The Montalbert gondola lift takes you in 6 minutes to 1950 metres where the entire area is at your feet (skis) with no less than 425 kilometres of interconnected slopes. No need to take a bus or cross villages. In addition, the area also has 2 glaciers and 2 peaks above 3000 metres. You have the choice between a ski pass for the entire area (425 km) or just a ski pass for "La Plagne" where you have access to 225 km of ski runs and which is cheaper.
